His little feet kicked inside my womb. Dante's movements were normally strong and today was no exception. I placed my hand on my stomach. His little foot pressed against it, as if he knew I wanted him to hit my palm. I tried to imagine holding him for the first time and I felt a tear roll down my cheek. It wasn't a tear of sadness, but because the moment was so beautiful. From behind me, his father placed his hand on mine and kissed my neck. I looked at him and he was looking at my stomach. He had a smile on his face and when the baby kicked again I heard him let out a small laugh. He got in front of me and kissed my stomach and whispered, "Hi baby." while he let his forehead rest on me.

I smiled and brushed his hair back. Only a month left and we could hold our precious child. This moment is perfect.
